3 Aspects to Nail in order to Wear Confidence through Comfort
It doesn’t matter how great you look.
Unless your outfit makes you feel comfortable, you won’t be able to bring out your true essence — the BEST version of yourself — and show it to the world.
That’s why while working with my customers, their comfort is my HIGHEST priority. Regardless if they ask for it or not.
“How does this make you feel?” is a question my customers get asked very many times during the service with me.
It’s crucial to me that when we work on your style through setting up new outfits from your current clothes as well as incorporating new clothes that will be with you for a long time, you constantly reflect on how this makes you feel on the inside.
There are circumstances when I see something that my customers don’t see yet and I will challenge them. Truth is that with the development of your personal style is like with any other important aspect of your life:
Sometimes for the true change to happen, you have to trust someone else. Trust the process. Take a bigger step forward. Allow for the big leap. And a stylist can be a person who helps you to take you where you want to be faster!
Through the years of working with my customers I have experienced many transformations happening inside them through the outer image, simply through putting on something they were slightly not yet ready to put on, still something they loved and something that was in alignment with the direction they want to take.
This. That garment switched in them something new, something that allowed them to believe in their truest power and stop playing small.
INSANE — someone would say 🤯 Yet the power of the outer image exactly that (INSANE).
But.
Back to the topic of this conversation: YES, comfort is extremely needed to feel and look our best selves. And believe me. This comes from a lover of aesthetics.
And I would like to bring to your attention 3 aspects to take into account to make sure you feel comfortable during the day.
1️⃣ So number ONE is: the final visual effect of different garments on your body.
It can happen that we have an idea of how the garment WILL be and the reality is completely different. It can be that the cleavage of the blouse is too deep. Or that you can’t have your comfy panties with these pants because the lines of the panties will be see-through. Or maybe you recently went down a couple of kilos and those jeans that sat SO WELL won’t do it anymore? These details may ruin even the best outfit distracting you during the day and affecting aspects such as your focus or confidence level.
My tip here is to ALWAYS try and check how your garment looks on you before you wear it publicly. To avoid stress, do it a day before.
2️⃣ The 2nd aspect is the feeling of the garment on your body.
If that heels are too high and you look like you are going to colapse every time you walk.. well.. yes. It will affect your confidence level, both internally and externally. Same if that jeans dig in your buttocks. Ladies, it’s not worth it. It affects not only your confidence level, but also your mood and attitude.
So make sure to feel how your garments feel on your body before you go out.
3️⃣ And last, but not least: outfit vs circumstance.
Have you ever under-dressed yourself for a circumstance? Or, have you ever felt that you are way way waaaaay over-dressed? Well these kind of stuff really affect our confidence level.
SO: always reflect if the apparel you are choosing makes you feel appropriately to the situation.
Do you regularly make sure to comfort-proof your garments? 🤍
