Color Palette -- example

Have you ever ended up in the situation when you saw an item on somebody else that you absolutely loved, only to buy it and realize that it doesn’t fit your complexion?
You are not alone, and Color Analysis will help you avoid these mistakes in the future!

Color analysis is a process of finding the most flattering and harmonious colors that complement your natural features, such as skin tone (and undertone), hair color and eye color.

By identifying your unique colors, we can determine the clothes, makeup and accessories that enhance your appearance and make you look your best. The goal is to find colors that make your skin glow, make your eyes pop and look more alive.

5 Reasons Why Getting Yourself a Color Analysis as a Stand Alone Service Will Only Confuse You

  1. Color Analysis does not tell you about how you can incorporate colors into your looks in practice.

Color analysis’ results are about giving you a list of colors that fit exactly your complexion. However it does not tell you anything about how to incorporate the colors into your look! The typical color analysis leave you blindly with a bunch of colors without explaining how you take the results and incorporate them into your style and wardrobe — in practice! It won’t teach you about how through contrasting and balancing different elements in your look you’ll be able to create captivating looks.

Psst… teaching my customers styling principles about incorporating colors into their look is a part of all my services 🙋🏼‍♀️ check them out 🥰

  2. Color Analysis does not take into account the aspect of your personal style.

It does not take into account your signature personal style, basically what makes you feel like the most powerful version of you and takes out your true authentic self. Just to give you a simple example. If you are a minimalist, colors (and shades of these) such as BLACK and WHITE are an inevitable part of your looks. Color Accents are welcomed, of course, but if you loved black up until you did your color analysis that result’s told you DON’T WEAR BLACK, then you’ll be left puzzled if you don’t find yourself a stylish alternative.

  3. Color Analysis does not take into account items availability at the stores.

It is very common that the collections in stores, regardless if we are talking about new or pre-loved clothes, come in one single color. What do you do if you find a piece that you LOVE from all perspectives, but your color analysis results does not include this particular shade? Some shades are just hard to find in general. Limiting yourself blindly to the outcome of color analysis will result in hours spent shopping without success and frustration that the pieces that you like are not available in “your” colors.

  4. Color Analysis does not educate you that some items just does not look stylish in some colors.

The fact is that purchasing some items in some colors just does not make any sense from style perspective, but also from wearability perspective. The results of the typical color analysis are like: “These are your colors and you should wear them. vs. These AREN’T your colors, and you shouldn’t wear them.” Does not teach you about the wearability of different items in particular colors.

For instance, say that you are a Clear Spring and a raspberry red is a color that makes you scream OMG WOW when you look at the mirror while having it on. Getting yourself a statement blazer in raspberry red is a great idea. It will be a great staple in your closet that will elevate any look. However I would not recommend to get a regular t-shirt in that color because it just is not aesthetically appealing.

  5. Color Analysis does not define a color palette for you that you can easily take into account when you go out shopping.

Unfortunately I get a lot of clients that come to me complaining that they got the results of the color analysis including loads of colors, but they don’t know how to comprehend it and translate to building a versatile and timeless wardrobe. A typical color analysis unfortunately won’t define you a color palette and teach you on how to build your closet in a sustainable way, consisting of wearable pieces that you can easily style into captivating looks.

    To Sum Up
